A stinging sensation on the back of the neck and then darkness. Long darkness. Waking to cold iron manacles and collar, chained up in a slave pit in a drow outpost somewhere in the Underdark. Escaping with the help of a disgruntled drow warrior, sixteen escape into the Underdark.

Baern is a musical little fellow with a quick wit and faster fingers.
Crab the Tiefling Druid
Crab is the most perceptive of the group, and possibly the crabbiest.
Tammuz the Anachronistic Human Chronomancer
Tammuz has excellent eyesight and hearing and has visited the Underdark several times, since he is used to living underground.
Vorkath the Goliath Barbarian
Vorkath seems to have a way with creatures, and calming a cave fisher with spider meat, and taming an albino cave rat

Stool the Myconid Sprout & Obelisk (Obie) the Minotaur Pugilist
Stool seems to be a child, and Obie, among others, seem very protective of the little myconid. Stool can emit a ten foot cloud of spores that lets everyone communicate in the circle communicate telepathically. Stool is not terribly fast, so Obie carries Stool or lets it ride on his shoulders.
Buppido is a male derro, who is surprisingly gregarious and talkative, demonstrating a keen mind and a disarming manner. “Buppido knows this, yes he does. You may believe Buppido when he tells you, you bet!!”
